DESTINATION IMAGINATION ~2005~ IN LANCASTER

This year Lancaster had four teams involved in Destination Imagination. Two Elementary teams, and one Middle School/ Elementary team, competed in a variety of challenges in the regional tournament in Ayer, MA.

The Lancaster team comprised of Elementary and Middle School students was managed by Mr. Tony Jacobs, assisted by Mrs. Pam Cross, and Mrs. Nancy Weber. This team competed in the regional tournament in Oxford, MA. The team members were: Brandon Steff, Brian Yentz, Alex Schryver, Addison Weber, Nathan Weber, Ellen Jacobs and Lizzy Cross. Their Challenge was the DIzzy Derby, the most technical of the challenges. They had to design a reliable vehicle capable of transporting at least one team member around a number of laps and detours. A team-created skit had to bring all the elements together. They placed first in the Regional tournament by doing the most laps, and won the State Finals by again out performing their competition. They competed in the Global Finals in Tennessee in May. This is the first time a Lancaster Destination Imagination team has won first place in the State Finals and we have a beautiful trophy to be shared by the Elementary and Middle School.

DESTINATION IMAGINATION 2004

The 2004 team competed in the Plot and the Pendulum challenge. They finished first in the regional tournament, and then came in second in the state finals. This made them eligible to compete in the Global Finals in Nashville, TN from May 25-28 representing the state of Massachusetts. Team members include Tanya, Lizzy, Addison, Ellen J., Brian, Brandon and Ellen H.
