GENERAL
1. MOST IMPORTANT! Always keep your hands to yourself.
2. Always be courteous and respectful of each other.
3. Report any damaged, loose or dangerous equipment on the playground or in the building to a teacher.
4. No gum is allowed at school.
5. Do not bring toys, trading cards, etc. from home (exception is classroom sharing).
6. No hats are worn inside the building (exception is winter hats at dismissal time).
7. There is no running inside the building (exception, of course, is gym class).
8. All classes need to walk quietly, in a line, on the right side of the corridor or stairway.
PLAYGROUND
Grades K, 1, & 2
- Boots and snow pants must be worn to go on any surface with snow.
Grades 3/4 & 5
- Boots must be worn to go on any surface with snow. In order to play in the snow, snow pants must also be worn.
- Anyone without the appropriate attire for his/her grade level must stay on the pavement.
General Information
- Each grade level will have its own equipment in fishnet bags. These will be stored inside a classroom and taken out each recess.
- Taking care of equipment will be children’s job.
- The field on the right side of fence will be the kick ball area for Grades 3 and 4.
- Only 5th Grade will be allowed to use the space in back of the playground.
- Line markers will be outside the fence on the field for boundaries.
Rules
1. No running on the play structure or in the wood chip area.
2. Balls may only be kicked while they are on the ground.
3. Go up the ladder one at a time and down the slide feet first.
4. Hang on the bars only with your hands.
5. Swing back and forth only.
6. Stop the swing before getting off.
7. Throwing and kicking sand, snow, woodchips, rocks and sticks, is dangerous. Please, play safely!
8. Keep your hands, feet, and belongings to yourself.
9. Line up quickly and quietly.
10. Everyone is allowed to play.
11. Snack in the snack area only.
12. Respect other’s snow sculptures.
LUNCHROOM
1. Absolutely NO running in the lunchroom.
2. Talk quietly to children sitting close by you.
3. When you are finished eating, clean up your own area and wait to be dismissed from the table.
CONSEQUENCES
1st Offense: Warning
2nd Offense: See Principal (possibly miss recess, depending on incident)
3rd Offense: See Principal who will call parents for support and assistance.
