text that says "report card:

Work is underway to review and update report cards for students in grades 1-8, with the goal of implementing the revised versions in the fall of 2025. This revision process is focused on updating reporting standards, a timely effort given the district’s ongoing work over the past three years in curriculum development, the adoption of high-quality instructional materials, and alignment across grade levels.

A report card working group, made up of representative educators from across the district, has begun reviewing grade level and content area reporting standards for clarity, consistency, and alignment, including trimester benchmarks. The report card revision work will also include the revision of the social behavior and work habits category to better reflect our Portrait of a Nashoba Graduate competencies. Next steps of the work include forming a kindergarten report card working group, sharing draft versions of the revised report cards with School Councils for feedback, and developing a family user guide and front-facing website to help families better understand how our Nashoba report cards communicate student progress. As part of the process, the Department of Teaching and Learning has further gathered report cards from neighboring districts to examine Nashoba’s alignment and explore approaches in format that may enhance our current reporting tool.

We are grateful for the dedication of our educators engaged in this process and look forward to sharing updates with the community and School Committee as we work toward finalizing our revised report cards for the 2025-2026 school year.
