Last month we shared that the Art teachers in Stow, Lancaster and Bolton held a district-wide Kindergarten through 8th grade art show during the month of April at the Bolton Library. The art opening and month long gallery were a huge success. Families, friends, Nashoba staff, and administrators, gathered to support and celebrate the proud student artists and their art!

Lancaster hosted a takeover day at the WooSox game during April break! Smiley, the WooSox mascot, stopped by MRE to kick-off the event and was greeted by students, staff and Oreo, the MRE Husky!

Wingmasters flew in earlier this month to meet MRE's second graders! The program is designed to explain predation, the birds' place at the top of the food web, their different hunting adaptations and their status in a rapidly changing world. Because many birds of prey are declining in number, this presentation also features one or more of the endangered raptors that they care for, and explains why these species face an uncertain future.

MRE's third grade invited a yoga instructor, who is a third grade parent, to MRE for a yoga and mindfulness session. The students and staff enjoyed the rejuvenating exercise break.

MRE fourth graders visited the Concord Museum and participated in an archaeological simulation. Students learned about how two different groups of people; Pilgrims and Indigenous people (Nipmuck) used the land. Through the simulation, the students discovered more about early life and the culture of the people.
